HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Agents found a package with the deadly drug fentanyl at a package delivery hub in Hall County.

Authorities conducted an “open-air-search” on the package Thursday with the help of a narcotics detection K9.
The package weighed around 575 grams, and included about $172,000 worth of fentanyl tablets, the release states.

Authorities caught the package during a routine check at the hub in Gainesville.
The package came from California and was headed to Oakwood.
So far, no arrests have been made.

According to Hall County Sheriff’s Office, agents have found methamphetamine and marijuana in past searches, but this was the first package that contained fentanyl.
