HALL COUNTY, Ga. — An Oakwood man is charged with abusing his infant after a medical exam revealed his daughter had broken bones, according to Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
William Dorsey Raiford, 27, is facing charges of aggravated battery and cruelty to children in the first degree.

On Sept. 20, the infant’s mother requested treatment for the three-month-old girl at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
According to the release, doctors told investigators the infant had a fractured femur and other bone fractures. Doctors also told investigators the injuries were consistent with abuse.

The three-month-old was placed in the custody of a family member under the Department of Family & Children Services’ supervision.
Raiford remains behind bars in the Hall County Jail with no bond.
The baby’s mother was not identified. It’s unclear if she is facing charges.
