HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Mary Spearman says the numbers don’t lie.
“So, you would most likely stop in Arkansas the first night, somewhere in Oklahoma the second night, and New Mexico the third night,” Spearman said.
And finally getting to Los Angeles on the fifth day for the College Football Playoff National Championship.

“This is our typical 56 passenger bus,” Spearman said while giving Channel 2′s Berndt Petersen a tour.
Spearman is the general manager of Kelly Tours in Hall County.
They are the official carrier of the University of Georgia Redcoat Band.
They’ve taken them to all the big games.

“Bowl games. We’ve gone to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans several times, the Orange Bowl, and the National Championship last year in Indianapolis,” Spearman said.
This year it’ll be a trip from Athens to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The band, the team, and most Bulldogs fans will fly to California.

But Spearman said no matter when or where, it’s an honor to transport the Dawg Nation.
“It’s a lot of fun. Our drivers have bonded with a lot of the groups. The girls call some of our drivers ‘granddad.’ I have a female driver who drives the Georgettes. We’re very proud to be carrying the band and the cheerleaders,” Spearman said.
The buses will pick up the Redcoat Band and the Georgettes Saturday morning.
