HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its own.
Lt. Stephanie Hollingsworth died in a traffic crash Sunday night.
In a post to the office’s Facebook page, Sheriff Gerald Couch called Hollingsworth a dear friend and co-worker for more than three decades.

“We will miss her dearly and offer our prayers and complete support for her family,” Couch said in the post.
The post said Hollingsworth started her career at the sheriff’s office in 1989 as a secretary.
She was eventually “promoted to supervisor of the agency’s records office in 1993 and graduated from the police academy later that same year.”

The sheriff’s office has released few details about the wreck, only saying some of Hollingsworth’s family members were hurt.
They asked for prayers for Hollingsworth’s family and friends, as well as the sheriff’s office.
