Rescue crews continue searching for man that fell overboard at Lake Lanier over the weekend

HALL COUNTY, Ga — Crews are still searching for a man at Lake Lanier after he fell overboard Saturday afternoon.

Hall County Fire Rescue said on Saturday at 2 p.m., a man went overboard near Holiday Marina.

HCFR has now identified the man as 29-year-old Kaiyan Ding.

DNR Law Enforcement Game Wardens arrived to the lake and began searching for Ding using a SONAR, but their efforts were unsuccessful due to high boat traffic, along with other choppy conditions.

HCFR said crews were back on scene Sunday morning at 8 a.m. and they will continue the search for Ding.
