HALL COUNTY, Ga — A cat has tested positive for rabies and come into contact with a person, according to Hall County officials.
Officials say a rabid cat was in contact with someone in the Big Rock Ridge Trail area of Gainesville. The health status of the person who contacted the cat remains unclear.
The cat was taken to the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur.
Positive alert signs have been posted in the area where the rabid cat was found, according to the county.
