HALL COUNTY, Ga. — A 16-year-old girl who was badly burned in a boat explosion on Lake Lanier nearly two months ago has been released from the hospital.
Taylor Coleman and her family were on a boat near the Margaritaville Resort on May 9 when the boat ignited during a pit stop for gas.
This comes just days after Taylor took her first steps since the accident. Earlier this week, her mother shared on a Facebook page meant to provide updates that Taylor walked three feet on Friday, and then 120 feet on Monday.
Family said that earlier in the week Taylor set a “go home” date of Friday for herself, and she made it.
