GAINESVILLE, Ga. — A man is in custody after a Christmas Eve shooting that left one woman dead and a man injured.
Gainesville police say they were called to an encampment near Dorsey Street shortly before 4 a.m. on Christmas Eve where they found two people shot.
Ashley Marie Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 36-year-old man was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment. There is no word on his current condition.
Investigators say they were quickly able to identify the shooter as 37-year-old Demetrius Few.
He was arrested and charged with malice murder and aggravated assault. He will soon face more charges, according to investigators.

Detectives have not released details on what led up to the shooting or possible motives.
Few is currently being held in the Hall County Jail.
