ATLANTA — Showers and storms are firing up across north Georgia.

The storms are expected to continue through the evening.
Here’s what to know:
- There is a Level 1 of 5 risk for severe storms Monday for metro Atlanta.
- The main risks from these storms are heavy rain, lightning, strong wind gusts and possible hail.
- High temperatures reached into the high 70s Monday.
