ATLANTA — It never made it above freezing Monday and it’s going to stay that way until at least tomorrow.
Gusty winds early Tuesday morning dried up the leftover rain from Monday, causing few problems with black ice for the morning commute.

Some areas did see some flurries or a light dusting of snow in the north Georgia mountains.
Later in the afternoon, the remnants of the rain moved out and the skies cleared, but the cold weather didn’t go anywhere.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid-to-high 20s throughout the metro Tuesday night, and may even dip into the low 20s in the higher elevations of the viewing area.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said temperatures will not get above freezing until mid-morning on Wednesday.
