CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A man and his girlfriend who deputies say abducted his 18-month-old son in Acworth Saturday have been arrested and charged.
Camren Clark, 21 and Malaysia Haynes, 22, of Minneapolis, Minnesota are accused of taking Nova Sampson from his home ono Ashely Place and driving him to Missouri. Sampson is Clark’s son but he does not have custody.
The couple contacted investigators from St. Louis last last night and agreed to return to Cherokee County. They brought Nova back to deputies unharmed early Sunday morning.
The child has been returned to his grandmother.
Both Clark and Haynes were charged with felony interference with custody and burglary. Clark has also been charged with simple battery. They are both in custody at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
