Heard County fills District 3 commission seat

HEARD COUNTY, Ga. — Heard County voters went to the polls on Tuesday to fill their vacant District 3 commission seat.

In March, neither Ralph Caldwell nor Iris Harris received 50% of the votes required to win the commission seat.

In Tuesday’s runoff election, Harris appears to have defeated Caldwell with 60.31% of the votes, according to the Heard County Elections Office.
