COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are saying road rage led to two people opening fire at each other in a busy Walmart parking lot in Cobb County on Monday.
Channel 2's Chris Jose rushed to the scene at the Walmart on Earnest Barrett Parkway when we learned about the incident, which happened around noon.
Investigators said everything started as a road-rage argument between a 23-year-old man and a 62-year-old man.
Investigators told Jose that a verbal argument quickly turned physical, and then guns were drawn.
“We don’t have specifics as to why they were arguing, why they resorted to gun violence,” Sgt. Wayne Delk, with the Cobb County Police Department, said.
According to police, the older man fired at the younger man.
Investigators said a 21-year-old woman who was with the younger man then fired shots at the older male.
