MCDONOUGH — Three people were shot at a warehouse in Henry County Thursday afternoon, police said
Henry County Police said that they responded to reports of multiple people shot at the Project Verte warehouse on Declaration Drive in McDonough around 12:20 p.m.
Officers arriving at the scene found three people shot. One was treated and released at the scene. Two were taken to the hospital. Their identities and conditions have not been released.

Police said the scene has been contained and there is no threat to public safety at this time. Police said one person has been detained at the scene. That person has not been identified.
Police have not said what led up to the shooting or if it occurred inside or outside the building.

NewsChopper 2 was over the scene, where there were several ambulances and law enforcement vehicles and at least one car was roped off with crime scene tape. Georgia State Patrol said they are assisting Henry County Police in the investigation.
At once point officers appeared to be searching vehicles outside.
A worker at the warehouse, Dicey Beckham, described the chaos that unfolded as shots rang out to Channel 2′s Audrey Washington.
“Everybody was getting ready to take a lunch break and somebody ran through the place and said, ‘active shooter,’” Beckham said. “And everybody just took off running.”
Beckham said people were crying and screaming, trying to make sure that loved ones that also worked at the warehouse were OK. Washington asked Beckham what was going through her mind in those moments.
“Fear. Terror. Am I going to make it home to my family?” Beckham said.
Another witness said she pulled up to work and saw two people on the ground.
“You could see two people laying on the floor,” she said. “They said they were both shot.”
She said Henry County police were at the scene within minutes.
“There were 20 or 30 police officers with AKs pointed at us and they were like, ‘Come out with your hands up!” she said.
Employees were told to go home and return to work tomorrow.
Project Verte is based out of Sandy Springs and is an e-commerce distributer. The warehouse in Griffin has about 200 employees.
