MCDONOUGH, Ga. — Firefighters in McDonough had to be lowered down into a storm drain to make an unusual rescue.
They saved five kittens who had fallen in. Three off-duty firefighters helped save them.
“This rescue crew chose to go the ‘extra mile’ to help a few kittens when they could have done anything else during their time off of fighting fires. Their bravery is appreciated,” said Marcia Hendershot, director of the Fayette County Humane Society.
The kittens are up for adoption now at the Fayette County Humane Society.
