HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned new details in the case of a Henry County teacher originally reported missing.
The Henry County School District placed him on administrative leave amid allegations that he sexually assaulted a female student at Union Grove High School.
Rodney Freeman’s family reported him missing because they haven’t seen him since Tuesday, but as Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes began digging into this story on Thursday people in the community tipped her off that police are investigating Freeman for sexually assaulting a student at his school.

Freeman is a Senior Naval Science Instructor at Union Grove High School where he oversees the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, according to the school website.
Police say a 17-year-old girl accused Freemen of trying to have sex with her. The girl’s father went to police.
Police said they tried talking to Freeman, but he lawyered up and then disappeared.
The Henry County School District said Freeman has been placed on administrative leave.
“He has since become the subject of a missing person investigation, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest related to an off-campus incident,” the district said in a statement.
So far, police do not know where Freeman is.
