Channel 2 Action News first reported on the accusations against Freeman in December.
The case initially started as a missing person report that Freeman’s family filed for him. Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes began digging into the story and learned that police were investigating Freeman for sexually assaulting a student at Union Grove High School.
Police say a 17-year-old girl accused Freemen of trying to have sex with her. The girl’s father went to police.
Police said they tried talking to Freeman, but he lawyered up and then disappeared. The Henry County School District placed him on administrative leave.
No other details on Freeman’s arrest have been released at this time. Freeman faces a charge of sexual assault by persons with supervisory/disciplinary authority.
