ELLENWOOD, Ga. — It was a tragic end to what should have been a fun-filled spring break for Jordan Idahosa, a 21-year-old college student at Valdosta University.
His father, Sam Idahosa, was heartbroken when he and his wife received the call that their son had been shot and killed while in Miami Beach during his spring break.
Speaking exclusively to Channel 2′s Veronica Griffin, Sam Idahosa said, “It’s all my kids. We have a good reputation. We respect people. We love people. We help people.”

Jordan had come home to Ellenwood to visit his parents before heading out to Miami Beach for his much-awaited spring break.
The family was told that Jordan was shot while talking to the shooter’s girlfriend.
The incident was one of two separate shootings that led to a curfew being imposed on spring breakers in the Miami Beach area.
Sam Idahosa was quick to defend college students who were merely trying to have a good time during their break.

“The college students are trying to have a good time, trying to enjoy their lives. It’s the hooligans, it’s the criminals that come in their midst,” he said.
The Idahosa family and friends are still mourning their son after he was laid to rest on Thursday.
Channel 2 Action News reached out to the detectives on the case but has yet to receive a response.
