HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Police are searching for a man they say broke into a senior living complex and sexually assaulted an elderly resident inside.
McDonough Police said the incident happened on Feb. 5 at the Heritage at McDonough Senior Living complex.
Surveillance video posted on the department’s Facebook page shows the suspect going door-to-door to check to see if any doors were unlocked.
Police said the suspect was able to get into one unit, where he sexually assaulted the woman and then “casually walked out of the apartment.”

Family members who contacted Channel 2 about the case said the victim is 75 years old and that she was raped. They are concerned because the man has not been caught.
“We are hoping for any help we can get so that she can have some peace of mind,” the victim’s great-niece told Channel 2. “We just pray for piece of mind for her. She has already been through so much.”
The suspect was wearing a Nike fanny pack style bag.
