ATLANTA — Do you know who the richest people in the Peach State are?
Forbes has put out it’s annual list of the 400 richest people in the United States and 10 Georgians made the list.
Earlier this year, Forbes released a comprehensive list of the 2,668 billionaires worldwide, including 18 Georgians.

This new list shows just how the tech titans, business moguls and restaurant founders of Georgia stack up against the rest of the country.
The richest Georgian, Cox Enterprises Jim Kennedy, has a net worth of $8.4 billion, making him the 77th richest American, according to Forbes.
Home Depot founders, Bernard Marcus and Arthur Blank, are ranked 81 and 99, respectively, with their $8.2 billion and $7.6 billion.
Three members of the Chick-fil-A Cathy family, Bubba, Dan and Trudy, are tied in the 133rd spot with $6.6 billion each.

Other Georgians making the list include:
- Gary Rollins, CEO of Orkin’s parent company, is ranked 190 with a $5.2 billion net worth
- John Brown, former chairman of Stryker Corp., is ranked 234 with a $4.5 billion net worth
- Ben Chestnut and Dan Kurzius, founders of Mailchimp, are tied at 252 with a $4.2 billion net worth each
Forbes says that, as a group, the 400 billionaires on the list lost a total of $500 billion in the last year.
