ATLANTA — How do burnt end nachos with queso and jalapenos sound? How about a brat burger?
Channel 2's Craig Lucie had the worst assignment of the day Friday -- getting the VIP food experience tour at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Back to those nachos. They take 16 hours to make!
“We have 50 percent more cooking power here in the new stadium than the Georgia Dome. It goes with the theme of greatness that we do here,” said one of the chefs at the new stadium.

Speaking of greatness, Lucie said the brisket grilled cheese is really good.
Multiple chefs laid out their gourmet food selections at Mercedes-Benz Stadium first tested by Falcons fans.
“Hundreds of fans have tasted the food and we adjusted the recipes based on their feedback,” said Mike Gomes, the Senior Vice President of fan experience.
They introduced a hand-breaded free range chicken sandwich for $11.
Many students are also using the new kitchen and learning from executive chefs with Westside Works of Atlanta.
The students helped serve up brat burgers, Portobello mushroom burgers, cobb salads, pretzels and tacos. The two-taco gourmet dish costs $7.
After dining on the gourmet food, Lucie moved upstairs to the Harrah’s Cherokee Club where those in the VIP tour sampled a Burnt Bourbon Ice Cream Sandwich with Snickers Milkshakes.
At the bar in the club, they showed some of the stadium’s signature cocktails, including the Southern Mule, the Neighborhood Punch, which is their version of a Mai Tai, the Signature MBS Margarita and The Weekend Bloody Mary. All the signature cocktails costs $12.
For a Coke with free refills, it will cost $2, and if you’re not into the tropical signature drinks, they will have plenty of beer at prices they are proud of.
“We have a 12-ounce domestic beer which is $5 dollars, craft beers will be $7. For a 20-ounce domestic draft it will be $7,” said Gomes.
You still have typical stadium food. Hot dogs will cost $2.
