An iconic Atlanta restaurant will soon reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic forced it to close in mid-March.

Mary Mac’s Tea Room in Midtown will open for to-go orders on Nov. 2 and serve dine-in guests starting Nov. 9.

As part of its reopening, the restaurant will offer online ordering and curbside pickup for the first time.

“We are thrilled to welcome our guests back with the same made-from-scratch Southern dishes we’ve offered for over 75 years, served up by the same staff who have become a part of our families over the years,” the restaurant said.

Mary Mac’s says its menu will remain largely unchanged but there will be COVID-19 safety precautions in place for staff and guests. The restaurant will thoroughly clean and sanitize the restaurant and use peroxide disinfectant to regularly spray all contact surfaces.

All employees will be required to wear masks and sanitation stations will be installed throughout the tea room. The caddies will be removed from the tables with salt, pepper and condiments available upon request. Drinks will be refilled in fresh cups.

For social distancing, Mary Mac’s will be rearranging its dining room to allow for more room and six feet apart markers.
