GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Thousands of doses of potentially deadly fentanyl will never make it into local neighborhoods.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation posted on Facebook they seized a stash of drugs in Gwinnett County.

The haul included 65 kilos of methamphetamine, 1 kilo of heroin, 1/4 kilo of fentanyl, and three guns.
The GBI says their Gang Task Force followed tips on gang activity and worked with their partners to find the drugs.
The Drug Enforcement Administration says just 2 milligrams of fentanyl can kill someone depending on their body size, tolerance, and past usage.

Drug dealers mix fentanyl with other drugs because of its potency and low cost, according to the DEA. The drug is 100x more potent than morphine.
42% of pills tested for fentanyl contained at least 2 milligrams, according to the DEA.

The GBI worked with the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, the Atlanta Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, and Homeland Security Investigations to seize the drugs.
