ATLANTA — Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris campaigned at the Infinite Energy Arena in Gwinnett Sunday afternoon, just days before the election.

Senate candidate Jon Ossoff delivered welcome remarks and Stacey Abrams, Carolyn Bourdeaux, Congressman Hank Johnson and Congresswoman Lucy McBath also spoke.

Channel 2′s Richard Elliot was in Gwinnett County, where Harris spoke to hundreds of supporters at the parking lot drive-up event. Attendees were supposed to stay in or around their cars, though not everyone could contain their excitement.

Harris talked to reporters shortly after she landed at PDK Sunday afternoon.

“I think that we owe this country more,” Harris said. “There’s no question about that. Until every person has been heard and has heard what we have to say, I think that our job is a job that is ongoing.”

At one point during the rally, high wind forced Harris off the stage, but she continued to speak from the ground.

“I’m just going to come down here,” Harris said.

Supporter Amanda Scisney said she was excited to go to the event.

“A drive-in event, I mean, it’s exciting,” Scisney said. “I’m able to socially distance. I’m able to come out and support Senator Harris.”

President Donald Trump is also in Georgia this weekend. His campaign rally will be in Rome on Sunday night.

The Trump campaign released a statement in response to Harris' visit Sunday, writing,

“Georgians know President Trump is the only leader capable of leading America with his promises made, promises kept agenda and will unilaterally reject Joe Biden and his radical politics.”

Harris was last in Georgia earlier this week for an event in Atlanta on the same day as Donald Trump Jr. held two events in the state.

Former Vice President Biden visited Georgia on Tuesday.

Georgia has drawn the attention of both presidential campaigns with polling showing the race very close.

The latest exclusive Channel 2 Action News/Landmark Communications poll shows the presidential and senate races in Georgia tighter than ever.

The poll surveyed 750 likely voters on Wednesday and has a margin of error of 3.6%.

Asked who they would vote for if the election for president were held today, 48% chose Donald Trump and 47% chose Joe Biden. That’s a closer race than the previous poll taken on Oct. 21 which had Trump leading by four points.
