ATLANTA — With early voting underway and Election Day only 11 days away, members from both presidential campaigns visited Georgia on Friday.
Vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris visited Atlanta and spoke at Morehouse College this evening. The president’s son Donald Trump Jr. hosted two rally events in Atlanta and Macon this afternoon.

During Harris' visit to Atlanta she spoke 1-on1 with Channel 2′s Richard Elliot about Thursday’s debate, coronavirus and her love for the city of Atlanta.
“First of all, I love Atlanta. Coming back to Atlanta is like coming home and I think there’s so much about this place that is about the history of America: who we are, who we’ve been and who we can be,” Harris said.
During her interview she criticized the Trump administration’s response to coronavirus.
“The president, Donald Trump, has failed the American people by not telling us the truth when he knew how serious it was,” she said. “These are the issues before voters right now and the voters of Georgia have so much at stake in the outcome of this election.”
On the flipside, Channel 2′s Dave Huddleston spoke 1-on-1 with Trump Jr., who has been here several times this campaign season and says Georgia is an important state for his father’s victory.
“You guys need to speak to speak to your friends you need to tell them about the economy. You need to tell them that Donald Trump created the lowest unemployment numbers,” Trump Jr. said.
He told the crowd that a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for the far left. He says Biden is trying to sell himself as a blue collar candidate when he’s been in Washington for almost 50 years.
“I’ll say this with a very straight face. I’ve had more blue collar jobs than Joe Biden and I’m the son of a billionaire from Manhattan,” Trump Jr. said.
Elliott has been following the visits from the campaigns in recent weeks. President Donald Trump held a rally in Macon last Friday. Dr. Jill Biden visited the state earlier this month. This will be Trump Jr.'s second visit in October.
Both sides say that Georgia is in play and will be a factor in the next two weeks.
