COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Kennesaw woman is celebrating a big milestone: her 104th birthday!

Marge Hatcher turned 104 on Thursday. Her assisted living facility Canterfield of Kennesaw threw a party for her, family and friends this week.

“She is in awesome shape physically and cognitively. She rides the recumbent bike everyday for 30 min. Just walks with a walker and has a wicked sense of humor. She is something special,” Sally Wells said.

Hatcher spent her life traveling the world with her husband, who served as a colonel in the U.S. Army. The couple had two sons and one daughter together.

Hatcher volunteered her time with the American Red Cross and USO clubs in the Philippines and Japan during World War II.
