BARTOW — Fire crews are working on a fire at the Allatoona Dam.
Firefighters were called out to the dam just before 4:45 p.m. for a fire near the power house.
The Army Corps of Engineers told Channel 2 Action News that work was being done at the power station Monday and the fire started when they turned the power back on.
Fire investigators believe the fire might be from wiring and insulation leading into the power house.
Currently, there are about 40 firefighters on scene at the dam to help put out the fire.
