Law enforcement urges drivers to slow down after dashcam video shows semitruck plowing into truck

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia State Patrol is reminding drivers to slow down, not drive fast, and don’t drive distracted.

Officers say a 15-second video is a good example of what can happen if you are not paying attention.

In the video, you can see that as traffic slows, a tractor-trailer barrels into the truck in front of it.

The dashcam video was caught by an officer who was parked near Interstate 75 and Interstate 16 split in Bibb County.

Officials urge drivers to put their phones down and leave space between vehicles. Such actions could save a life.
