MABLETON, Ga — Like bees around a hive, there has been a steady line all day at Heby’s Shell station on Floyd Road in Mableton.
Channel 2′s Berndt Petersen was in the food mart Tuesday, where everybody was feeling lucky.
Tuesday night’s drawing would be the third-largest jackpot to ever be awarded if someone is the lucky winner.
Heby’s Food Mart in Mableton has a reputation for big winners, and the massive $830M jackpot attracted a crowd.
Chryl McCoy says if you’re happy and you know it, buy a lottery ticket.

“Look! Everybody here, they’re lucky! Good luck everybody!” McCoy said
On Tuesday, Chef Shombe Jones cooked barbeque in the back of the store and has watched this scenario play out once again.
“Every time the lottery gets big, people come from all over the state to buy tickets. So, how about you and I go in half today. If I split it, will you split it?” Jones said.
Steve McTaw said the lottery is a good distraction amid skyrocketing prices for food and gasoline.
“Things are hard right now,” McTaw said. “The country is in a rough way. I think there’s hope. Looking for a way to make things better.”

Many of these folks are loyal customers. Joe Reeves always buys his tickets at this food mart.
“Everybody needs something to look forward to. Why not take a chance?” Reeves asked.
As for McCoy, she has devised a plan.
“I’ve got the winning ticket! I’m gonna go into hiding!” McCoy told Petersen.
