ATLANTA — You may have use Google or YouTube if you’re looking to get a sweat on.

Many gyms and health clubs across the country and right here in north Georgia are closing due to the coronavirus.

Crossfit Midtown, which is located on Spring Street in Midtown Atlanta, says it will be closed for two weeks so that it will be cleaned and disinfected.

“During these 2 weeks all memberships will be placed on hold. Also in the 2 weeks that we are closed the gym will be professionally cleaned to ensure a safe environment for when we return.”

This is just one of the many gyms closing because of the outbreak.

You may want to check in with your local gym to see if they are open or closed.

LA Fitness emailed members Monday evening letting them know that all clubs will be closed until April 1.

The message to members said that memberships will be extended to cover the time the clubs are closed.

Other gyms closed include Orangetheory, SoulCycle, Gold’s Gym and Equinox.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced she was banning gatherings of over 50 people in the city. Many larger gyms or health clubs are abiding by the declaration.
