Man charged with murder after 2 bodies found floating in Troup County lake

ATLANTA — A man has been arrested in connection with the murders of two men found floating in a lake in Troup County.

Marcus Caswell, 46, and Travis Lodato, 31, were both found shot to death floating in West Point Lake last week. Caswell was found on Monday and Lodato was found on Tuesday.

Police said Joshua Nutt, 39, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, two counts of robbery and one count of possession of a firearm.

“To have a suspect in custody in a matter of days speaks to their dedication to the job and I cannot thank them enough for their hard work,” Sheriff James Woodruff said.

This investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
