COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Coweta County fire officials said a man was found dead next to a tree he was cutting down Tuesday afternoon.

According to Chief Robby Flanagan, the man was found lying next to a tree on Happy Valley Trail when he was found. The tree was not on top of him, Flanagan said.

The coroner’s office is now working to determine how he died. Neighbors told Channel 2′s Ashli Lincoln that it was a heart attack.
NewsChopper 2 was over the scene, where a tree was on its side and chopped into pieces.

The victim has not been identified.
