GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A woman spoke to Channel 2's Tony Thomas about the frightening moments when she and her boyfriend were held at gunpoint in a McDonald's drive-thru.
Tia Tucker said a stranger stuck his head in their car window as they were about to pull away after receiving their order early Saturday morning at the restaurant on Old Peachtree and Buford Highway. She said before she could react, the man started firing shots.
"For me, it didn't register until he started screaming. He was like give him the money," Tucker said.
Her boyfriend, Juan Rosas, is now in the ICU in critical condition after the robber shot him in the leg and abdomen.

"Juan was in pain, he was screaming. I was like a deer in headlights," Tucker explained.
Tucker said bullets shattered one of Juan's legs and tore through his abdomen. She said the suspect grabbed a hundred bucks and some credit cards before running away.
The couple pulled away and drove to Duluth police for help.
Police reports indicate the suspect ran off through the parking lot.
Tucker is now by Juan's side at the hospital, confident he'll pull through.
"If he hadn't been there, I would have been dead, I wouldn't have moved, I was frozen," she said.
We reached out to McDonald's for a comment but have not heard back.
Tucker said Gwinnett police told her they picked up a man with her wallet this weekend.
Duluth police so far have not charged anyone with the shooting.
