Police investigate shootings, street racing in downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating multiple shootings in downtown Atlanta.

Police confirmed that a man was shot on Piedmont Avenue near John Wesley Dobbs Avenue on Sunday night.

This was the second incident that happened in that area this weekend.

Channel 2 Actions News has also learned that at least three people were hit by gunfire in the Old Fourth Ward area of Jessie Hill Dr, John Wesley Dobbs, Piedmont Ave, and Edgewood Ave, all near the campus of GSU.

Early morning Sunday, police caught people street racing blocks away on the same road.

The condition of the victims is unknown at this time.
