CLARKESVILLE, Ga. — Police and the family of a man who suffers from dementia are desperate to find him.
They say James Brian Whittum suffers from short-term memory loss and most likely became disoriented after driving away from his Clarkesville home.

Whittum is driving a silver 2018 Toyota Highlander with Georgia Purple Heart tag WV912E.
Police say his car was last spotted by a traffic camera on Hwy. 34 near Peachtree City, more than two hours away from his home, at 10:27 a.m. on Friday.
Investigators are not sure where Whittum may be.

His family says that he has other medical issues in addition to his dementia.
