ATLANTA — Channel 2 Action News has continually covered the overcrowding problem that many of our metro Atlanta shelters are experiencing.
There are more than a thousand dogs across metro Atlanta, looking for a forever home.
Fulton county animal services say they have more than 400 dogs that need to be fostered or adopted as of Thursday.

Lifeline Animal Shelter in DeKalb County says they have more than 600 dogs and are currently euthanizing a certain number of dogs for space.
Cobb County Animal Services says they have 277 animals in their shelter.
