Metro Atlanta gas station sold ticket that won $1 million in Monday’s Powerball

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Georgia Lottery confirmed to Channel 2 Action News which store sold a lucky $1 million ticket.

On Monday night, a record $2.04 billion jackpot was up for grabs. The winning jackpot ticket was sold in California, but one gas station in Georgia had a big winner.

Georgia Lottery says the Exxon Food Mart off Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville had a ticket that matched all five numbers without the Powerball.

The state lottery confirmed at one $100,000 ticket was sold along with three $50,000 tickets. Here are those locations:

$100,000 ticket

  • BP Food Mart, 2890 Lawrenceville Suwanee Road, Suwanee, GA 30024

$50k tickets:

  • Quick Stop, 2775 Antioch Road, Cumming, GA 30040
  • Quick Trip, 3353 Camp Road, Jasper, GA 30143
  • Purchased online – mobile app

Georgia Lottery did not reveal where the mobile app winner lives, but the app has had big winners from Lawrenceville, Brookhaven, Douglasville and McDonough in the last month.

There are different rules for claiming the prizes if you purchased a ticket in-person versus the mobile app.

The Georgia Lottery website shows online winners have up to 180 days to claim their ticket. In-person ticket buyers have until 90 days after the expired date listed on the ticket.
