FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A few local school districts will phase students back into the classroom Monday while others are close to bringing almost all students and staff back.
Channel 2 Action News This Morning has been going through district plans county-by-county.
In Fulton County, some students who opted in will go back to school Monday. Phase 3 of the district’s plan is for those students to attend one full day per week, which determined alphabetically by last name.
The rest of the phase-in plan will continue until mid-October when the district hopes everyone can return. Remote learning is an option all school year.

In Douglas County, the district completes its phase-in with high school students back in the classroom today. Middle school students started last Monday while elementary students went back the week before.
Students will learn in-person from Monday through Thursday and schools will get a deep cleaning on Fridays.
In Barrow County, the district will welcome back almost all students for in-person learning five days a week. Students and staff that do return to the classroom will have to wear masks.
Right now about 26% of Barrow County students are in virtual learning. Those students will remain at home.
