ATHENS, Ga. — More than half the country is rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs to win the National Championship today, according to an online betting site.
BetOnline.ag tweeted a map of the states rooting for Georgia versus their arch rival, the Alabama Crimson Tide ahead of Monday night’s game.

The company based the map on Geotagged Twitter data and fan hashtags.
More than 30 states are rooting for the Dawgs, including a large swath of the west and Midwest, most of the northeast and of course, the better parts of the Deep South.

If you’re an Alabama fan, you’ve got some good company in the southwest and midsouth, including Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia. And for some reason that we don’t understand, Hawaii.
Georgia has lost its last seven games against Alabama.
