CONYERS, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned a Rockdale County mother and her 1-year-old son who disappeared have been found safe.

We first told you about this story on Tuesday, when family members said it was uncharacteristic of Danielle McKinley, 34, to do something like this. They were desperately hoping the mother and baby were not in any danger.

"I'm shocked. I could have sworn I'd seen her two days, ago four days ago, I don't know when it was," neighbor Nick Stanley told Channel 2's Wendy Halloran.

Investigators said McKinley and her infant son, Zaire Harrell, were last seen around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the home she shares with her boyfriend, and father to her son, along Pine Ridge Trail in Conyers.

TRENDING STORIES:

They were last seen in a gray four-door 2008 Nissan Altima. The car didn’t have a license plate, which made it even more difficult for investigators to track them down.

When we first reported this story, Hallloran spoke with the lead investigator on the case and she said she’s spoken with McKinley’s boyfriend several times and he’s very concerned.

It was troubling for the investigator because McKinley didn’t take any clothes with her or things the baby would need. They also said McKinley doesn’t have money to support herself.

Tracking her whereabouts with technology has been made even more difficult due to the fact that her cellphone goes straight to voicemail, according to the investigator.
Stanley said he is concerned.

“I don’t know if she just left … I don’t know what it is, being that’s my next door neighbor,” Stanley said.
