MONROE COUNTY, Ga — A motorcyclist is dead after being hit by a drunk driver on Saturday night, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.
At around 7:30 p.m., deputies arrived to a crash on state Route 75, finding 58-year-old Harold Turner dead on the scene.
Authorities say a Ford F-150 driven by 76-year-old Terry Warren was traveling east and left the roadway. The Ford struck a culvert, lost control, and struck Turner’s motorcycle head-on.

Warren was treated for minor injuries and then taken to Monroe County Jail.
Warren is charged with failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence and vehicular homicide in the first degree.

The crash is still under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
