HABERSHAM COUNTY, Ga. — A New Jersey man was in a rush to get to Christmas morning festivities, but ended up behind bars when he led deputies on a high speed chase.
Habersham County deputies say they tried to pull over 31-year-old Pratik Paul at 8:45 a.m. on Christmas Day when he was going 102 miles per hour on Hwy. 365.

Instead of pulling over, Paul kept driving his Jeep pickup truck into Hall County.
Deputies were able to flip the car with a PIT maneuver in Lula, stopping the car off the side of the road.

Paul, of West New York, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with reckless driving and fleeing or attempting to elude.
He was booked into the Habersham County Detention Center and was released several hours later on a $2,500 bond.
