New Manchester High School evacuated due to bomb threat

News Chopper 2 flew over New Manchester High School after a bomb threat forced students inside the football stadium Wednesday afternoon.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — New Manchester High School in Douglas County was evacuated due to a bomb threat sent in via text message Wednesday, district officials said.

News Chopper 2 flew over the school at Hwy. 92 in Douglasville. Students sat in the football stadium while investigators searched the school.

Officials said students passed the text around. Once it got to administrators, they immediately called 911.

No threats were found in the school and students were let back into the school a short time later.
