CONYERS, Ga. — Police say an 18-year-old man was killed in an accidental shooting near the Georgia International Horse Park Wednesday.
Marcus Shaffer, of Conyers, was found dead on July 6 at around 5:14 p.m.
Another 18-year-old called 911 and said they were on a trail off of Centennial Olympic Parkway when the gun went off.
Police did not say who fired the shot nor have they identified the witness.

Police said they are not searching for any additional persons of interest and that the witness is cooperating. A single weapon, described as a semi-automatic shotgun, was located at the scene.
Police said they believe that Shaffer’s death was the result of an accident. No one has been charged with a crime. Police are still working to determine how the gun went off.
