NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. — Newton County deputies recently delivered gifts to more than 2,500 children.
That’s up from the 1,800 kids they helped last year.
The gifts were made possible through the sheriff’s office’s Guardian Angels program.

“It shows that we are concerned about the community. Not so much in just the law enforcement perspective, but in the perspective of being family to our community,” Sheriff Ezell Brown said.
Families also received clothes, food, and other essential items to get through the holidays.
