NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities in Newton County are investigating the “suspicious” disappearance of a 55-year-old woman.
According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, Stacey Faye Nease disappeared Aug. 10, 2018.
Nease's family told Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes that they haven't seen or heard from her since that day. Her father said she was headed to her boyfriend's home in Covington.
Investigators said she didn’t take her purse, wallet, ID or medication with her.
Nease is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of a dolphin on her left calf and a rose on her ankle. She also has “Shilo” tattooed on her neck.
Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes spoke to Nease's father, Landol Mitchell, on Monday.
"We need to know what happened or where she’s at," he said.
Deputies say Nease was living with her boyfriend at his Covington home on Wehunt Road, the last place she was seen alive.
Nease's boyfriend called her dad on Aug. 16 and said she walked out of his house at 3 a.m., a week before that.
"When he called me six days after she went missing, I had a bad feeling at that time," Mitchell said.

Her dad said she would have never missed the holidays without contacting her family if she was alive and well.
The boyfriend told Mitchell she left her belongings at his house.
"He said she didn’t have anything on except shorts, flip flops and a shirt, and that’s just not like her to leave all her stuff there," Mitchell said.
Investigators issued two "Be On The Lookouts" for Nease but they didn't suspect foul play until now.
Her dad said she struggled with drugs and she was not getting along with her boyfriend when she disappeared.
The boyfriend has not been named a suspect.
Anyone with information about Nease's disappearance is asked to call the Newton County Sheriff's Office at 678-625-1585 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
