MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Georgia Bulldogs have arrived in Miami as they prepare to face the Michigan Wolverines in the Orange Bowl.
Head coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs touched down around 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Miami International Airport.
Smart was the fist to get off the Delta chartered jet where Orange Bowl officials and the official bowl mascot welcomed the team.
“Our guys are ready for anything,” Smart said. “The players, it’s a business trip and getting prepared for a big game against Michigan.”

On Sunday night, the Bulldogs enjoyed some rest, relaxation and team meetings Sunday night. The Dawgs will hold their first practice Monday at Berry College.
There will be time for a few sightseeing trips and a few hours at the beach. But everyone knows the goal is clear: to beat Michigan in the Orange Bowl and play for a national championship.
“It’s pretty cool. If we win, it’ll be a lot cooler. We got a few more days until the game. Enjoy Miami for a few days and lock in,” quarterback Stetson Bennett said.
