Coach at Alpharetta school charged with child porn

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — An athletic coach at an Alpharetta school has been arrested and faces a child pornography charge.

Tarik Uduk, 25, was arrested Monday by the Sandy Springs Police Department and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of obscene Internet contact with a child.

He was taken into custody at the Fulton Science Academy in Alpharetta, where he is employed.

The investigation began last week after detectives were made aware of someone uploading child porn to an online server. The images were tracked to a residence in Sandy Springs, detectives learned with the help of the GBI.

After identifying Uduk as the suspect, investigators found several sexually explicit images and videos showing minors between the ages of 12 and 15.

Detectives are working to learn if any of the children depicted in those images were students who Uduk came into contact with.

He is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail.

Channel 2 Action News reached out to Fulton Science Academy’s principal for a statement, but they have not yet returned that request.
