Milton police say it ended around 4:45 p.m. when negotiators were able to get the suspect to leave an apartment peacefully.

He was taken into custody, but police have not released his identity.

No injuries have been reported.

During the incident, police told everyone in the complex to “shelter in place” and prompted those outside the complex to avoid it. But they no longer need to shelter in place and will soon be able to come and go from the community, according to police.
