FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Fulton County will become the first county in Georgia to file a lawsuit against companies that make and distribute opioids.
Officials said the drugs are responsible for the addiction and death of hundreds in the county.
“Use of these drugs has resulted in the consumption of millions of dollars in public resources,” Fulton County said in a news release.
